The celebration of the Holi festival started when Holika got burned, and Prahlad survived the hostile fire. People celebrate the day after Prahlad survived by putting colors on each other.
Colors bring joy to our lives. Spreading colors symbolizes celebration & victory over evil. It also shows truth wins over lies and lights over darkness.
The festival of colors got recognition when Krishna started playing Holi with Radha in Braj(Gokul). It's being celebrated all over the place in India and not restricted to one place.
Hori ke Rasiya(Songs of Holi)
It's a month-long celebration of the Holi festival to play songs of Holi in Krishna Temples.
Krishna loves colorful life, and who else knows how to celebrate better than him? No one, I guess. That's why everyone loves him so much.
For the whole month, songs of Holi played & colors spread on Krishna and his friends in all Krishna temples.
Holi played uniquely in Radha's hometown Barsana.
When Krishna and his friends go from Nandgaon to meet Radha in her home town Barsana, Radha's friends welcome them with the sticks. And it's called Lathmar Holi(Holi with Sticks).
Lathmar Holi is famous because this tradition is only followed in Barsana.
Lathmar Holi — Festival of colors celebrated with the same enthusiasm — dates back to when Krishna used to play Holi with Radha.
Devotees throng to temples at many places where Krishna and Radha used to meet & play.
Let's play Holi with Krishna & Radha so that colors in our lives stay forever.
